I love surprise curious finds during my pre-dawn train trips before setting off for outreach days to Puckapunyal.
I love Bendigo, and today I discovered there will be gnomes in the village and tulips on display when it’s my birthday
I had already booked a much needed day off work for my birthday, to make it a long weekend. I had planned to head up to the Bendigo region ….. spending a day with gnomes and tulips is now a must!!!

And time spent with gnomes in the village and tip toeing amongst the tulips is a great way to recharge right before the start of Bathurst 1000 week
On a funny note, I first started getting affectionately called “their gnome” by a then current serving Army Officer back in 2020. They were the first person to ever call me a gnome. Today I was on my way to provide outreach support to veterans when I spotted the Bendigo ‘gnomes in the village’ ad pop up.
Veterans laugh when they hear me described as a gnome, and one even unintentionally wrote “The Gnome” in their diary when they booked an appointment to meet with me … we had a great laugh together over that! 😂
